“Invalid activation code” message appears during automatic and manual activation

Summary
This article explains what to do when “Invalid activation code” message appears during both automatic and manual activation

Resolution

  1. Start the application and click the ‘Activate’ button in the Resources tab
    (In case of server management tools chose server you want to activate the application on and click the Activate server button)
  2. Enter activation key into the ‘Activation Key’ field
  3. Select manual activation by checking ‘Manual’ radio-button
  4. Click on the generated link (or copy/paste it into the browser)
  5. Select generated code and copy it
  6. Paste the code into the ‘Enter activation code’ field in the application
  7. Click the ‘Activate’ button to complete the activation process

Optional resolution

  1. Go to the manual activation page (Website login is required)
  2. Select application and product version from the drop-lists
  3. Enter activation key and hardware ID in the appropriate fields
  4. Click on the ‘Activate’ button
  5. Select generated code and copy it
  6. Paste the code into the ‘Enter activation code’ field in the application
  7. Click the ‘Activate’ button to complete the activation process
